The mission of the National Audiovisual Institute (Narodowy Instytut Audiowizulany, abbreviated to NInA) aimed at making the most noble and significant examples of Polish audiovisual culture widely available. As Polish Audiovisual Publishing House, founded in 2005, it brought back excellent documentaries (“Polish School of Documentary Movies”) and animations (“The Anthology of Polish Animation”) series. In 2009 Polish Audiovisual Publishing House was renamed to National Audiovisual Institute, which is to become a leading cultural institution in the field of digitilisation and publishing of archives documenting Polish Audiovisual heritage.

The National Center of Cinematography (Qendra Kombëtare e Kinematografisë) operates with an annual budget of approx. 1 million euro. The unions of professional filmmakers in Albania assign their representatives to the QKK Council, a body that selects projects to receive funding. The maximum amount available for each selected project is 300,000 euro. QKK provides funding in both minority and majority co-productions. Other sources of financing are: public and private broadcasters who participate in projects with in-kind investments and promotional services.

Based on the §80 Act No. 499/2004 Coll. is the National film archive in Prague accredited specialized archive and its function is collection, preservation, scientific processing and using of audiovisual archival materials which document national film production, genesis and development of film art, life of the Czech nation and important world events.

The National Film Archive in Warsaw (Filmoteka Narodowa), a member of the European Federation of Film Archives, has some of the most comprehensive collections of films and archive records in Europe. The aims of the National Film Archive focus mainly on the preservation of the Polish cinema national heritage and selected items of the world cinema, their systematic conservation and archiving of all collected items and records. The film catalogue holds approx. 15,000 titles. The National Film Archive also owns an impressive collection of books (approx. 23,000), film posters (approx. 25,000), periodicals (approx. 1000), film programmes (23,000), scripts and shooting scripts (approx. 27,000), film stills, director scripts, newspaper clippings and other archive records.
