The Museum has a unique collection of optical equipment, dating back to the pre-film era, as well as a collection of filming equipment. It also maintains a large collection of Polish and foreign film posters, film stills, programmes, documents, etc.

Documentary Fortnight - MoMA’s International Festival of Nonfiction Film and Media was established in 2001. It is MoMA’s annual two-week showcase of recent nonfiction film and media takes place each February. This international selection of films presents a wide range of creative categories that extend the idea of the documentary form, examines the relationship between contemporary art and nonfiction practices, and reflects on new areas of nonfiction practice. The venue - Museum of Modern Art - is a leading contemporary and modern art institution located in New York City. It hosts new and ongoing exhibitions in Painting and Sculpture, Prints and Illustrated Books, Drawings, Photography, Media and Performing Arts, Architecture and Design, and Film.

NATPE is a global, non-profit organization dedicated to the creation, developmen and distribution of televised programming in all forms, across all platforms. NATPE develops and nurtures opportunities for buying, selling and sharing of content and ideas. NATPE does provide its members with 24/7 access to accurate databases of global information, worldwide industry news, trends, and creates opportunities for its members to advance themselves and the industry through its annual Market & Conference, regional workshops and seminars, demonstrations, gatherings and other means of overall support.

National Audiovisual Archive

The mission of the National Audiovisual Institute (Narodowy Instytut Audiowizulany, abbreviated to NInA) aimed at making the most noble and significant examples of Polish audiovisual culture widely available. As Polish Audiovisual Publishing House, founded in 2005, it brought back excellent documentaries (“Polish School of Documentary Movies”) and animations (“The Anthology of Polish Animation”) series. In 2009 Polish Audiovisual Publishing House was renamed to National Audiovisual Institute, which is to become a leading cultural institution in the field of digitilisation and publishing of archives documenting Polish Audiovisual heritage.

The National Broadcasting Council (Krajowa Rada Radiofonii i Telewizji, KRRiT) has worked since April 28, 1993. It consists of nine members representing different social and political circles. Four of them are appointed by the Sejm, two - by the Senate and three - by the President. The term of office of each of the members is six years. Every two years one-third of the Council is replaced.

The NCA is the UK's only independent lobbying organisation representing all the arts. Its mission is to be the leading independent and UK-wide voice for the arts world in all its diversity. Its vision is that the value of the arts will be understood and recognised by government, and that the arts will be adequately resourced as a key element in our national culture. The NCA works across the arts and political sectors to provide a united voice for the arts, especially for arts organisations across the UK and for all artists, staff and volunteers who work in the arts; campaign for better access to the arts, so that everyone in the UK has opportunities to experience the arts and to take part; campaign for adequate and sustainable levels of resources and support for the arts.

The National Center of Cinematography (Qendra Kombëtare e Kinematografisë) operates with an annual budget of approx. 1 million euro. The unions of professional filmmakers in Albania assign their representatives to the QKK Council, a body that selects projects to receive funding. The maximum amount available for each selected project is 300,000 euro. QKK provides funding in both minority and majority co-productions. Other sources of financing are: public and private broadcasters who participate in projects with in-kind investments and promotional services.

National Centre for Culture (Narodowe Centrum Kultury). The aims of the National Centre for Culture is promotion and protection of Polish cultural heritage, initiation and co-ordination of strategy programmes for culture, promotion of culture as an important factor of social and economic development, and civic education, building a platform for regional, trans-regional and international cultural co-operation, collecting and processing cultural information, inspiring active participation in culture.

The National Chamber of Audiovisual Producers gathers approx. 100 companies active in the field of audiovisual production in Poland. Its members include both the largest independent producers and the largest television producers (e.g., TVP, Canal+ Polska). The Chamber is the only organization of its kind in Poland.

The National Cinema Centre (Centrul National al Cinematografiei) wants to encourage and protect national film production, stimulate film making and distribution of films of artistic value, and valorise national film patrimony.

Development of amateur film and video production, organization of presentations and educational activities for amateur film and video-makers, publishing and editorial activities, international relations, membership in international organizations for amateur film and video rpoduction, national consulting on film production and organization of film events, national documentation and archives of amateur film and video production, sound and picture documentation of special events on traditional folk culture and crafts.

Based on the §80 Act No. 499/2004 Coll. is the National film archive in Prague accredited specialized archive and its function is collection, preservation, scientific processing and using of audiovisual archival materials which document national film production, genesis and development of film art, life of the Czech nation and important world events. At present the NFA takes care of more than 150 millions film metres, 600 thousands photographs, 30 thousands posters, 100 thousand advert materials, large archive of the Czech film and film library.

The National Film Archive in Warsaw (Filmoteka Narodowa), a member of the European Federation of Film Archives, has some of the most comprehensive collections of films and archive records in Europe. The aims of the National Film Archive focus mainly on the preservation of the Polish cinema national heritage and selected items of the world cinema, their systematic conservation and archiving of all collected items and records. The film catalogue holds approx. 15,000 titles. The National Film Archive also owns an impressive collection of books (approx. 23,000), film posters (approx. 25,000), periodicals (approx. 1000), film programmes (23,000), scripts and shooting scripts (approx. 27,000), film stills, director scripts, newspaper clippings and other archive records.

The film collection of the National Film Archives consists of two parts: National collection of domestic feature and documentary / short films and film materials, and a collection of foreign feature films. The collection also includes film screenplays, books, stills, catalogues, VHS and DVD titles, etc.

The National Film Archive of Iceland is a public service institution. It deals with the preservation of film culture by collecting, documenting and preserving films and film related material. The Archive researches films and film culture and publishes studies in this field.

The National Film Board of Canada (NFB) produces and distributes bold and distinctive social issue documentaries, auteur animation, alternative drama and innovative digital content that provide the world with a unique Canadian perspective. Since the NFB's founding in 1939, it has created over 13,000 productions and won over 5,000 awards, including 12 Oscars and more than 90 Genies. NFB.ca is a Web site where you can watch films produced by the National Film Board of Canada. Our mission is to make these films accessible to all Canadians.

The National Film Centre of Latvia (Nacionalais kino centrs) is a state financed governmental organisation overseeing the film branch in Latvia, granting governmental financial support to Latvian films, preserving the national audiovisual heritage, promoting Latvian films abroad, co-operating with the relevant international and national organisations and organising training for Latvian film professionals.

As of January 1, 2009, the Swedish National Archive of Recorded Sound and Moving Images has merged with the National Library of Sweden. The collection includes Swedish output of audiovisual media: broadcast radio and TV, film, video, records, CDs, multimedia. The archive also collects older items - the ultimate aim is to cover the entire national production of recorded sound and moving pictures from the late 1800s onwards.

The National Media Museum (formerly known as the National Museum of Photography, Film & Television) exists to engage, inspire and educate by promoting an understanding and appreciation of photography, film, television, radio and the web. The collection is divided into three categories: Photography, Film and Television. The film collection contains more than 13,000 objects and artefacts, e.g. old film equipment, digital technologies, drawings, posters, photographs, projectors, amateur films, etc.

National Radio And Television Commission (ORTT) is the independent regulatory authority responsible for the monitoring and supervision of the media. The members of the Commission, nominated by all the groups of MPs on a parity basis under the agreement of the parties, were appointed by the Hungarian Parliament in 1996, and later in 2000 for a period of fourv years.

Established in 2001, the National Screen and Sound Archive of Wales is a home to a comprehensive and unequalled collection of films, television programmes, videos, sound recordings and music relating to Wales and the Welsh. The National Screen and Sound Archive of Wales is responsible for safeguarding and celebrating Wales' rich audio-visual heritage. We collect, catalogue, preserve and provide public access to the material in our care. The collection encompasses: over 5.5m feet of film, over 250,000 hours of video, over 200,000 hours of sound recordings, thousands of tapes, records and compact discs. The Archive was established in 2001, as the collections of the old Wales Film and Television Archive were merged with The National Library of Wales' Sound and Moving Image collection. The Archive is funded by The Library and Sgrîn - the Media Agency for Wales.

Founded in 1952, NBF is the oldest association of professional film and television makers in the Netherlands. NBF provides both its members and other professional organizations in the industry with services and personal support. The main focuses of the NBF are the looking after individual interests of members and of the industry, providing different services as insurances and legal support, and offering education and information. Furthermore, the NBF organizes broad network possibilities that bring colleagues and rivals in the industry together and that offer the possibility to be introduced to other fields of the film and television industry.
