As much a part of Hollywood as the big sign on the hill, The Reporter has been the book of record for the entertainment industry for seven decades.

Magazine (in French) is focused on non-mainstream creative movies. Last issues were oriented on John Ford, Stan Brakhage films, and minor cinematographies.

The journal Iluminace was founded in 1989 as a biannually dedicated to scholarly reflection of cinematography. Since its 5th volume, i.e. since 1993, it has been published as a quarterly and the number of pages and format extended in that year. Throughout its existence, Iluminace has been presenting original theoretical and historical studies with every issue featuring also translations of foreign-language texts documenting contemporary trends of thinking about cinema or older texts previously unpublished in the Czech language. A significant effort has been also directed towards the documentation of sources related to the history of cinematography as well as interviews with prominent figures working in the field. There is a special section focused on the presentation of ongoing research projects. As is the case with all scholarly journals, Iluminace provides reviews of Czech and foreign-language scholarly texts. Since 2004, every issue has featured a monothematic collection of texts. Since 2005, some monothematic collections have been prepared in collaborations with guest editors.

The target group of KINECKO involves film professionals, students, film festivals’ attendees, film clubs’ members, real film lovers without borders and people interested in courageouspint of view on today’s cinematography.

Kino Ikon is a specialized Slovak magazine about film theory, history a aesthetics. It is a space for Slovak critics, origin theoretic texts and translations of foreign film studies.

The Journal of Cinema!, Which I wrote in connection with Dok.revuí, reports on the book of Philip Robara Dorina (including a director, his film Trdinov ravs was in 2006 in the catalog EastSilveru) Resničnost resnica in the documentary. According to the reviewer is a very ambitious attempt to capture the original work written in Slovene history and theory of documentary film in its global dimension since the beginning of cinema to this day - the author gives way to an almost impossible task to carry out comprehensive survey of its kind in space and time, which is also interwoven with their own copyright considerations. Dorin apparently succeeded only partially, the corpus of text is blamed for eclecticism, unclear between theory, history, meditation and political news, simply blend with minimal theoretical apparatus. Backlog, indecisive and theoretically shallow.

The film magazine Land & synir was founded in 1995. The online service was added in 2003. The English language version went online in 2006. The Land & synir website is the gateway to the Icelandic film and TV industry, providing news, views and various information on the Icelandic film and TV scene. Land & synir is published by The Icelandic Film and Television Academy, which is wholly owned by the three associations of Icelandic filmmakers; The Association of Icelandic Film Producers, The Icelandic Film Makers Association and The Association of Icelandic Film Directors. It is also supported by The Icelandic Film Centre.
