We closely work with key int. festivals, broadcasters, distributors, sales agents, markets, or training initiatives and serve as the GATEWAY TO EAST EUROPEAN DOCUMENTARY FILM.

...and Me, Katarína Kolníková

...a já, Katarína Kolníková, Slovak Republic, 2011, 52 min, DCP, Portrait
Ms. Katarína Kolníková, the long-term icon of Radošina Naive Theatre and one of the most outstanding actresses of not only Radošina but also Slovak professional drama scene, was born ninety years ago (April 20, 1921 in Radošina; died on May 28, 2006, in Radošina). Her unique and unmistakable personality brought unpretentious poetic aura to Slovak drama, a spiritual charm of a seemingly simple yet internally extremely wealthy human being. Katarína Kolníková entered the stage of Radošina Naive Theatre as an unvarnished and clear human message about the man and life, a message that was vital and comprehensible, in short – humane. After decades of amateur theatricals in her hometown during which she rendered various characters from plays by Ferko Urbánek, Jozef Gregor Tajovský or Agatha Christie, she joined Radošina Naive Theatre in 1971. Already in her first stage play, Človečina, she forged and permanently established her stage appearance as well as her theatrical and life philosophy that may only be summed up by one word and one word only – humanity.
