We closely work with key int. festivals, broadcasters, distributors, sales agents, markets, or training initiatives and serve as the GATEWAY TO EAST EUROPEAN DOCUMENTARY FILM.

Till Death Do Us Part

Dokud nás smrt nerozdělí, Czech Republic, 1997, 39 min
The story of two journalists - German radio reporter Gisbert Mrozek and Russian reporter Natasha Alyekinova - has all the attributes of a Greek tragedy. They met while working; a professional relationship changed into a personal one during the "anti-Gorbachev coup" where their lives were in danger for the first time. Their private happy ending was their wedding in Las Vegas - with the obligatory line "...till death do us part..." which happened soon after. On June 17, 1995, Natasha was fatally shot in the back by a Russian soldier near Budionovsko. Mrozek did not fear the Russian bureaucratic machinery. His efforts resulted in an investigation into Natasha's death, her case being brought to court and the first verdict in the history of Russian journalism.
