The Coordinates of the Memory
Souřadnice paměti, Czech Republic, 2008, 28 min
This undergraduate graduation film by Slovenian student of Prague FAMU shows that even the seemingly most stable country of former Yugoslavia went through a bloodshed after World War II when communist partisans decided to deal with local collaborators and killed tens of thousands of people within several months. Their graves are against political will opened today, while some contemporaries deny the murders in a grid of archive shots and the others deny the collaboration.
