ACE - Ateliers du Cinéma Européen
| Countries: | France |
| Deadline: | 21.06.2012 |
In 1993 a seasoned group of independent European producers, led by René Cleitman and David Puttnam, decided to pool together their experience and know-how with the purpose of sharing it with up and coming film producers and advancing the cause of independent cinema. With the support of a large network of industry professionals, they consequently founded ACE, a centre for training and development geared towards helping independent European producers.
ACE is a one year project-based training programme. It aims to use the experience and contacts of the senior members of the ACE Network to help the newcomers develop their talent and business. At the end of the year, the producers can choose to remain members of the ACE Network (some 180 members spread over 35 countries), that acts as a co-production club.
A training programme for independent producers from MEDIA Programme countries: Application deadline June 20, 2011.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Being an independent producer based in a country that is member of the MEDIA Programme
- Having been the main producer of at least one feature-length fiction film, theatrically released in the producer's own country
- Having a feature fiction project suitable for an EU co-production in the early stages of development at the time of application
