AFI FEST and the American Film Market (AFM) have created the first concurrent festival/market event in North America. The largest motion picture trade event in the world, AFM is a marketplace where over $500 million in production and distribution deals are conducted and closed annually, by more than 7,000 entertainment professionals and executives from over 70 countries. AFI has built its reputation on creating international competitions that feature brand new films from emerging filmmakers along with showcases of the latest work from great film masters, and nightly red-carpet gala premieres. For new filmmakers, Kodak CONNECT offers the opportunity to connect with more than 100 representatives from all corners of the film community within an intimate and intensive framework of one-on-ones, breakfasts, lunches, roundtables, and other opportunities to advance your career. AFI FEST programming includes international competitions of features, documentaries, and shorts, as well as European, South American, Asian films, special screenings, galas, tributes and retrospectives.
AFI FEST presents a survey of international films: November 1-8, 2012.
