www.DOKweb.net is a portal dedicated to East European documentary film. The news section provides up-to-date information on upcoming and just completed films, interviews with filmmakers and other documentary professionals, in-depth articles exploring the state of documentary filmmaking in various parts of the region, as well as insightful texts on current trends, funding, etc. The portal also boasts the largest published databases of completed and upcoming documentary films from Eastern Europe, an industry directory, as well as trailers and original video content. www.DOKweb.net is IDF´s key online project that provides comprehensive details on all IDF´s activities and links them with general information service.
Institute of Documentary Film’s Activities
Founded in 2001, the INSTITUTE OF DOCUMENTARY FILM (IDF) is a non-profit training and networking centre based in Prague, Czech Republic, focused on the support of East European documentary films and their wider promotion. Our activities support filmmakers through all stages of completion – development, funding, production, post-production, and distribution. We aim at individual filmmakers (tailored consultations), groups of carefully selected professionals with projects or films (Ex Oriente Film, East European Forum, East Silver, Doc Launch, etc.), broader professional community (East Doc Platform), as well as the general public (portal www.DOKweb.net). We closely work with key int. festivals, broadcasters, distributors, sales agents, markets, or training initiatives and serve as the GATEWAY TO EAST EUROPEAN DOCUMENTARY FILM.

The Festival is organized by the Ministry of Agriculture, the Ministry of Environment of the Slovak Republic and the Ministry of Culture of the Slovak Republic under the Government of the Slovak Republic and of the UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO).The organization of the Festival is secured by the Research Institute of Animal Production in Nitra together with Emerging Film Praha in cooperation with the Slovak Academy of Agricultural Sciences, Slovak Agricultural University in Nitra, Czech Agricultural University in Prague, Agrokomplex-Exhibitions, Nitra, SAPV Agency, Slovak Agriculture Science and Technology Association, Bratislava, Nitra State Gallery,and other international and Slovak organizations.


The international film festival Agrofilm will take place in Nitra, Slovakia during September 2012.

Festival sústreďuje, hodnotí, oceňuje a sprístupňuje najnovšie filmy a videozáznamy, ktoré reagujú na aktuálne problémy zabezpečovania výživy ľudí. Dokumentuje vedecký a technický pokrok v oblasti pôdohospodárstva, jeho ekologické a krajinotvorné funkcie, problematiku v oblasti potravinárstva, lesného a vodného hospodárstva, optimalizácie pracovných a životných podmienok v agrosfére a v lesníctve. Festival je tiež príležitosťou na medzinárodnú spoluprácu, výmenu odborných poznatkov a informácií osobne aj prostredníctvom filmov a videozáznamov, umožňuje tiež výmenu názorov tvorcov, majiteľov, distribútorov a užívateľov filmov a videoprogramov na odborných akciách, ktoré sú súčasťou festivalu.

- Filmy a videozáznamy môžu prihlásiť do medzinárodnej súťaže výrobcovia, majitelia, distribútori, autori a ďalšie organizácie.
Prihlášky na medzinárodnú filmovú súťaž sa musia podať do 1. 8. 2011.
- Do medzinárodnej súťaže AGROFILM 2011, môžu byť prijaté filmy a videozáznamy vyrobené po 1. 1. 2010. Filmy vyrobené po 1.1.2009 môžu byť zaradené len do informatívneho premietania a ak neboli prihlásené v minulých ročníkoch. Výnimky povoľuje Festivalový výbor.
