The majority of short and feature films (fiction, documentary, experimental or retrospective) are selected by invitation.
Non-competitive event, which aims to promote quality moving image work: September 25 - 29, 2013.
Our theme for this year is North by Northeast; as we explore Berwick’s Nordic roots, and our region’s historical, cultural and travel links with Northern Europe and with the North Sea that connects us.
Artists and filmmakers are welcome to submit moving image works of all types and lengths, in response to our theme, North by Northeast, for consideration.
As part of our call for submissions, we’re thrilled to be launching our first ever award for Best Short Film, sponsored by Inntravel. Artists and filmmakers will compete for a cash prize of £500 (approx €570), awarded by a Jury on the night. All single screen films that respond to the theme, and are up to 16 minutes in length, will automatically be considered for selection for the Inntravel Short Film Competition.
The final deadline for submissions is 28th June, and the programme will be announced mid-August.
Fees:
Short film (under 45 minutes) - £10
