Latin Side of the Doc

The fourth edition of Latin Side of the Doc will take place in Mexico for the first time, a co-production audiovisual meeting that focuses on the documentary genre, in which filmmakers, producers, TV production companies and funds; this event will take place in Mexico City from November 7 to 9, 2012. A three-day co-production and networking event it will gather Producers and Decision Makers from both sides of the Atlantic initiate international co-production projects, share their experiences and mutual needs, and strive to build a strong international documentary filmmaking network. This initiative emerges from the collaboration between Sunny Side of the Doc, an important International co-production meeting with La Rochelle, France as its host city, and DocsDF, the International Documentary Film Festival of Mexico City.

REGULATIONS
We will accept documentary projects in process of development that present co-production possibilities or that seek financing for its execution; these projects must have at least 30% of their financing secured.
The projects can cover any subject or documentary genre, television or transmedia.

We will only accept projects that have correctly completed the subscription form by August 31, 2012. Subscription is free.
At least one representative of the Project (producer or director) must present the project during Latin Side of the Doc.
The representatives of the selected projects must attend the Ibero American Producers Forum that will take place on November 5 and 6 at the Latin Side of the Doc’s venue.
6 projects will be selected, and the notification, schedule and further details of participation will be announced in advance.
Once the notification is sent, the participants will have 7 days to confirm their participation.
A committee of personalities from the audiovisual Mexican and International industry will be in charge of selecting the projects. This ruling will not be open to appeal.
The subscription of selected projects will have a cost of $ 150.00 USD that will include:

2 registrations for the project’s representatives.
Participation in the Ibero American Producers Forum.
Participation in the pitching sessions.
One to One meetings with the participant commissioning editors.
Full access to the Latin Side of the Doc spaces and all the events of DocsDF, International Documentary Film Festival of Mexico City.
