HIFF is a statewide event with more than a dozen screening sites on six Hawaiian Islands and an audience draw of over 70,000. In addition to a full slate of feature films, documentaries, and short subjects, HIFF conducts seminars, workshops, special award presentations, and receptions with top Asian, Pacific, and North American filmmakers.
This year’s festival will present new and exciting films: October 11 - 21, 2012.
If you're a student in high school or younger, you have more time, as the deadline for student film entries is August 17th. There are no submission fees for student films. Student filmmakers have a chance to get their films shown at our Student Showcase, which is free and open to the public.
