Pixel Lab 2013
The Pixel Lab provides European film and media professionals with essential training in creating, financing and distributing cross-media projects to build sustainable businesses and become competitive in the international marketplace. The course looks at the whole digital ecosystem for film and media businesses - how the way audiences are engaging with films across platforms is affecting the way that we will create, finance, distribute film and TV properties of the future.
Power to the Pixel’s leading cross-media course: June 30 - July 6, 2013.
Power to the Pixel is now accepting applications to The Pixel Lab, its leading cross-media workshop for experienced European media professionals.
Participants will come away with an unrivalled understanding of how to create, finance and distribute story IP across multiple platforms, and maximise audience engagement. The Pixel Lab is also a prime opportunity to cultivate new professional partnerships across different media industry sectors.
Encouraging a collaborative, project-focused environment, participants will have their ideas challenged and informed by the world's top practising cross-media professionals, with plenty of networking opportunities and one-to-one meetings.
This year's tutors include cross-media writer and producer Sean Coleman (UK); artistic advisor for Venice Biennale College & former executive director at ARTE France Cinéma, Michel Reilhac (FR); media architect and educator, Inga von Staden (DE). See the full list of tutors here.
All participants attend an initial six-day residential workshop in Belgium. Participants attending with a project go on to receive three months of distance mentoring, followed by a four-day workshop including attendance at PttP's annual Cross-Media Forum in London in October 2013.
Past participants include European funders, commissioners, film/TV/games producers, writers, story architects, interactive designers, directors, format developers, arts professionals, advertising executives, developers…
