Institute of Documentary Film’s Activities
Founded in 2001, the INSTITUTE OF DOCUMENTARY FILM (IDF) is a non-profit training and networking centre based in Prague, Czech Republic, focused on the support of East European documentary films and their wider promotion. Our activities support filmmakers through all stages of completion – development, funding, production, post-production, and distribution. We aim at individual filmmakers (tailored consultations), groups of carefully selected professionals with projects or films (Ex Oriente Film, East European Forum, East Silver, Doc Launch, etc.), broader professional community (East Doc Platform), as well as the general public (portal www.DOKweb.net). We closely work with key int. festivals, broadcasters, distributors, sales agents, markets, or training initiatives and serve as the GATEWAY TO EAST EUROPEAN DOCUMENTARY FILM.

Rule of Law
UNO-Judge Claudia Fenz arrived in Prizren full of optimism and illusions. But the day to day frustrations are huge. Upon the backdrop of Kosovo, the documentary studies the ups and downs of Claudia Fenz. Kick Off
The Prater Stadium in Vienna. Thirty thousand spectators are watching Austria play Turkey. At half time there’s a very special item on the programme. “It’s a proud moment for me”, says the stadium announcer, “to present a very special team today. They will be representing Austria at the Homeless Street Soccer World Cup in Australia.” These players have the joy of the game in their blood. Now they have to learn to play consistently, using tactics and discipline. Qualities that they will need not only in the championship but also afterwards in their lives. “Football as a social stepping stone”, was the headline of a report on this unusual project in the Kurier, an Austrian daily...

In 1977 I started my professional carreer in film-making while at the same time setting up a film distribution company together with two colleagues; in 1986 we opened a movie theatre. In the years since I managed the production of a number of film projects and gradually developed my skills as film-maker as well as in the fields of script writing and editing. In 1996 I needed to establish a focus within my professional activities and subsequently concentrated on production only.I founded Aichholzer Film in 1986. Since then I had produced numerous award-winning feature films and documentaries, and had also participated in MEDIA cooperations, for example: PILOTS, SLATE, STEP BY STEP, SOURCES, ARISTA, EAVE, ACE. Aichholzer Film focuses on feature and creative documentary films for cinema and TV.
