www.DOKweb.net is a portal dedicated to East European documentary film. The news section provides up-to-date information on upcoming and just completed films, interviews with filmmakers and other documentary professionals, in-depth articles exploring the state of documentary filmmaking in various parts of the region, as well as insightful texts on current trends, funding, etc. The portal also boasts the largest published databases of completed and upcoming documentary films from Eastern Europe, an industry directory, as well as trailers and original video content. www.DOKweb.net is IDF´s key online project that provides comprehensive details on all IDF´s activities and links them with general information service.
Institute of Documentary Film’s Activities
Founded in 2001, the INSTITUTE OF DOCUMENTARY FILM (IDF) is a non-profit training and networking centre based in Prague, Czech Republic, focused on the support of East European documentary films and their wider promotion. Our activities support filmmakers through all stages of completion – development, funding, production, post-production, and distribution. We aim at individual filmmakers (tailored consultations), groups of carefully selected professionals with projects or films (Ex Oriente Film, East European Forum, East Silver, Doc Launch, etc.), broader professional community (East Doc Platform), as well as the general public (portal www.DOKweb.net). We closely work with key int. festivals, broadcasters, distributors, sales agents, markets, or training initiatives and serve as the GATEWAY TO EAST EUROPEAN DOCUMENTARY FILM.

15 Young by Young
A multimedia documentary project consisting of a series of fresh, colourful insider point-of-view short stories on the present-day life of young people, linked by animated episodes and directed by 15 young and talented filmmakers from the 15 republics formerly annexed by the USSR.

The Field of Magic
Life in the dump: A poem to an unknown tribe. Field of Magic is a docu-poem about people living for over two decades in Buda forest near the closed down Kariotiškės dump, 40 km from Vilnius, Lithuania. A result of four year's work, the film captures the perspective of the dump dwellers in telling the story of a dissolving community, its uniqueness, daily rhythm, peculiar way of life, every-day joys and sorrows.

Grandpa and Grandma
The documentary - animation is based on a life story of director's grandparents who were exiled to Siberia by Soviets in 1948. The severe period of Lithuanian history is being told in a personal way, in genre of a fairytale. The story teller is a little girl, who sees the events in her own child way. The visual basis of the film consists of extant family photographs together with the national archive material and animation inserts.

Conversations on Serious Topics
Conversations on Serious Topics is a film without exterior action, props, landscapes or special effects. Its main characters are children and teenagers aged from 8 to 16, with a special ability to describe the surrounding world. Intimate conversations with them reveal an image of the modern world – at times melancholic, at times comical, at times dramatic. Shot in a minimalist fashion, the film raises questions about loneliness, love, God, the world and human relations. “The world is people.” ”Don’t you believe in God? I can teach you how to start believing...”

Graduated from the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theater, Film and TV department with a MA in audiovisual arts in 2001. Since 1997 directed and wrote eight fiction and documentary short films and worked as an assistant director with the established Lithuanian film makers Šarūnas Bartas (Seven Invisible People) and Arūnas Matelis (Before Flying Back to The Earth). Since 2004, member of the Lithuanian Filmmakers Union. In 2006 with colleagues established a film studio “Monoklis“. Since 2007, teaching script writing and TV directing at the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theater.
