www.DOKweb.net is a portal dedicated to East European documentary film. The news section provides up-to-date information on upcoming and just completed films, interviews with filmmakers and other documentary professionals, in-depth articles exploring the state of documentary filmmaking in various parts of the region, as well as insightful texts on current trends, funding, etc. The portal also boasts the largest published databases of completed and upcoming documentary films from Eastern Europe, an industry directory, as well as trailers and original video content. www.DOKweb.net is IDF´s key online project that provides comprehensive details on all IDF´s activities and links them with general information service.
Institute of Documentary Film’s Activities
Founded in 2001, the INSTITUTE OF DOCUMENTARY FILM (IDF) is a non-profit training and networking centre based in Prague, Czech Republic, focused on the support of East European documentary films and their wider promotion. Our activities support filmmakers through all stages of completion – development, funding, production, post-production, and distribution. We aim at individual filmmakers (tailored consultations), groups of carefully selected professionals with projects or films (Ex Oriente Film, East European Forum, East Silver, Doc Launch, etc.), broader professional community (East Doc Platform), as well as the general public (portal www.DOKweb.net). We closely work with key int. festivals, broadcasters, distributors, sales agents, markets, or training initiatives and serve as the GATEWAY TO EAST EUROPEAN DOCUMENTARY FILM.

Dance of Elves
“Dance of Elves” is a fantastic journey of a young girl between dreams and reality. Adrija lives in one of the peripheral areas of Latvia, called Latgale. She regularly takes the long way to the capital Riga, because it opens new opportunities for her. Adrija finds herself free, happy, overtaken by ideas and successful, because all her wishes come true – there are trips, there is a victory in Biology Olympiad, interesting meetings and many other wonderful things. But what to do when you suddenly realize that you don't know what you really want?

MANSUR’S WAR DANCE
Mansur Musaev is a 12 years old Chechen boy who has spent his childhood during the wartime and being a refugee. His health is undermined and the boy is slowly going blind. Mansur is an exceptionally talented dancer who has been dancing the Caucasian national dances since the age of a toddler. The film about Mansur is intended to be a documentary drama where talent is fighting for independence against the background of political manipulations and personal drama.

At dawn, when the guard was watching a new day to break out, some aviation fans celebrated Christmas at the old Spilve Airport... And the planes will keep flying. Yesterday, today, tomorrow... Always.

Great People
The 30-years-old Sergey Savelyev, who suffered a birth trauma now living invalid’s life due to ineptness of Soviet medics, is the center of the strong and light-sourcelike family. He is unable to walk and he talks with difficulty, but he is a man of exceptionally bright mind, a kid heart and talent. Sergey is literarily gifted and writes outstanding poetry.

BA in festival management, MA in production. Currently studying at the Academy of Arts in Riga (MA Programme, art science). Work experience: Director of festivals, director of commercials, films, practice in teaching.
