Since the time of the Prophet Mohammed, faithful Muslims have heeded the muezzin’s call to prayer five times a day. A more recent phenomenon is the Turkish call to prayer contest. Each year the country’s muezzins compete, and their powerful expressivity proves that muezzins are a special kind of artists. “MUEZZIN” follows the dramatic progress of the competition and investigates the phenomenon of individuality within Islamic culture.

Born in 1982. 1999–2000, 1-year intercultural stay in Argentina; 2001–2002, Studies at university St. Pölten for Media Management. Studies at Film Academy Vienna (production), since 2006, freelance producer and production manager for independent productions. In February 2008, launched SDA - Social Documentary Association.
