Frici used to be a musician and singer a long time ago, but his wife resented him being on the road all the time, so he sold his instrument. Since then his life has changed: he earns money by physical work and rarely has a chance to go on stage. Sometimes he is invited to folkdance camps as a singer, where he remembers the good old days and mourns over his fate.
Golden Hut.A Year With Emilke Karácsony in the Hidegség of Gymes
Thirteen-year-old Emilke, who can be compared to Ábel (the protagonist of a famous novel about a young boy living in the mountains of Transylvania), lives in his mountain hut in a place called Hidegség in Gimes, Transilvania.From early spring to the first snowfall he grazes cows, makes cheese from the milk, and only sees his parents when one or the other goes up to the mountain pasture and takes the cheese home. These meetings are rare and short. The only companions for the boy are the cows and the dogs, since he has to climb one or two hills just to get to the closest neighbour. The hours, days, weeks, spring, summer, and autumn melt into each other in this solitude...

What would have happened to Kálmán Kandó's electrical engine or Manfred Weiss' pipe factory if it hadn't been for Károly Korbuly? What would have become of the Hungarian vehicle industry without János Korbuly? They were designers, builders and they liked the materials they worked with and the projects they worked on. They loved Wagner and horses, but most of all cars. They didn't mind having a bit of fun either... And, thank God, they had a Kodak cine-camera.

Vilmos Aba Novák A young painter who began his work in the vein of the Nagybánya tradition found his own path after ten years of searching and experimenting, during his scholarship years in Rome. From shiny and dark oil painting he switched over to light tempera, and from panel painting to murals in communal areas. His journey can be followed through his diary entries, correspondence and statements, accompanied by his own commentary.
