Ion B. is a 62 year-old homeless man. His bed is a filthy foam mattress at the bottom of a garbage chute. Ion sorts through the daily household garbage of the block, avidly reading the books, magazines and newspapers he finds. Since the 70s he has been creating collages from them that he calls "my films".
Victoria from 8 to 9
A cement filling in a dream-like landscape - the inheritance left by the infamous chemical plant is the town of Victoria and a mysterious smell difficult to endure. Through pieces from the funny absurd life of the Victorians, the film reveals the heart and soul of a small town, born to be communist and made overnight European city.
The Shukar Collective Project
The film follows, in a challenging and unconventional visual style, the coming together and the evolution of the Shukar Collective phenomenon. Consequently, the founding members of the dancing bears group Shukar, Napoleon (43, vocal and barrel percussion performer), Tamango (67, vocal and spoon special effects performer), Classic (29, vocal and percussion performer) as well as those who discovered them: DJ Vasile, Matze, Vlaicu Golcea, Dan Handrabur are talking for the first time about the rising and the breaking up of the group.
Merry Circus
The film tells the story of one of the oldest circus families in Romania and, mainly, the story of some of the oldest circus performers still alive, descendants of the Globus Circus founder, Toma Zdebschi. Mina is 75 years old and Carol is 84. They have a daughter, two grandchildren and a great-granddaughter, who is 7 years old. Carol is the son of Toma Zdebschi, one of Romania’s first travelling circus owners. Mina and Carol retired and they are living in Bucharest, in a house in Rahova district. In their backyard, one can still see their first wagon, the one they used to live in during their "circus life". Every year, on the 29th of August, family and friends gather together in that Rahova backyard and celebrate Carol’s birthday.
