The news section provides up-to-date information on upcoming and just completed films, interviews with filmmakers and other documentary professionals, in-depth articles exploring the state of documentary filmmaking in various parts of the region, as well as insightful texts on current trends, funding, etc. The portal also boasts the largest published databases of completed and upcoming documentary films from Eastern Europe, an industry directory, as well as trailers and original video content. www.DOKweb.net is IDF´s key online project that provides comprehensive details on all IDF´s activities and links them with general information service.
Institute of Documentary Film’s Activities
Founded in 2001, the INSTITUTE OF DOCUMENTARY FILM (IDF) is a non-profit training and networking centre based in Prague, Czech Republic, focused on the support of East European documentary films and their wider promotion. Our activities support filmmakers through all stages of completion – development, funding, production, post-production, and distribution. We aim at individual filmmakers (tailored consultations), groups of carefully selected professionals with projects or films (Ex Oriente Film, East European Forum, East Silver, Doc Launch, etc.), broader professional community (East Doc Platform), as well as the general public (portal www.DOKweb.net). We closely work with key int. festivals, broadcasters, distributors, sales agents, markets, or training initiatives and serve as the GATEWAY TO EAST EUROPEAN DOCUMENTARY FILM.

Tarot Serbia!
Documentary road movie "Tarot Serbia" is following Milan Radonjić, the star of "Commercial Tarot", on his odyssey through rural, provincial parts of Serbia, where he’s invited to be the guest of honor at local TV stations. On his journey Milan will explore and reveal the characters of people living at the very edge of society, the ones who lost their jobs during transition, refugees from Bosnia and Kosovo, war veterans, invalids, sick people, betrayed lovers, girls possessed by demons, lonely pensioners, exorcists and all other people asking him for help and solution to all their problems.

Petar, the world accordion champion and a passionate cyclist, is one of 500.000 young people who have left Serbia in the last decade to escape war and lack of opportunities. Now, he decides to get familiar with Serbia on his bike – he will cycle from north to south, from the capital of Belgrade to the divided city of Kosovska Mitrovica in Kosovo. As we follow his journey, the grotesque, sad, funny and true picture of Serbia unfolds before us.

Born in Belgrade in 1976. Graduate from Faculty of Drama Arts in Belgrade, film and TV directing. Since 1998, he has been working as a director, producer, copywriter and art director. He has been awarded at numerous international festivals for his commercials and short films: Magdalena, Leo Burnett 7+, Karlovy Vary, MTV Music Award, etc. He is a founder of the production company Red Production. He is also the owner of one of the most prestigious film editing studios in Belgrade, REZ. He founded Nova Svetlost, Belgrade web-based festival for films made by cell phones and other hand-held equipment. Also works on art projects, such as Ohridska Legenda. Producer of internationally awarded documentary Bajne Vile as well as Ivan Ikic’s Tarot Srbija.
