Moving documentary about imprisoned women. Each of these women has her own story, but they are connected by this place, they spend part of their lives behind the bars, sometimes prison becomes their home. They all dream of freedom, men, new lives. The film shows them in the moment when the prison ward is the whole world. But filled with talks of freedom, past and future. Freedom is a main subject: discussed with hope and anxiety. They are afraid of returning to their lives outside. This film shows ordinary women, who support each other and together count down the time until freedom. We are allowed to watch their everyday life, joy, sorrow and dreams.

A documentary about love, friendship and sexuality of the disabled from Rafał Skalski, who made his directing debut with "52 Percent". Disability remains a taboo in our society. Many people avoid interactions with the disabled as they are not sure how to behave in their company. In reality, however, the differently-abled share the same dreams, desires, needs and aspirations like us. Characters portrayed in Rafał Skalski’s documentary are people who despite their limitations celebrate life at its best. Instead of avoiding daily problems, they find courage to challenge them. All characters have someone. Wheelchair-bound Krzyś plans his life with differently-abled Ola, whereas sight-impaired Grzegorz and disabled Ania cannot image their life spent apart. „He is my legs and I am his eyes,” says Ania. Five-year old Wiktoria is the fruit of love of the mobility-challenged Ela and her fully-abled husband, Rafał. Characters fail to feel different or inferior. They openly invite the audience to explore the intimate world of their male-female relationships. As they admit themselves, their sexuality is nothing extraordinary but they do realise that this aspect of their life appears to be most exciting.
Life is Awesome
Two years after her son’s tragic death, Teresa Anielak sets out on a quest to find the recipient of her son’s heart, which she donated shortly after he was declared brain-dead. The task is not easy since Poland’s official policy regarding organ donation protects the identity of both the recipients and the donor. Alongside her story we see and hear emotional stories and thoughts of several heart recipients and families who donated organs of their tragically deceased loved ones. Fragments of a real life heart transplant operation are inserted into the film as illustration to the stories and allow the viewer to witness this miraculous procedure.
Let's Run Away From Her
Another painfully intimate documentary by Marcin Koszałka is devoted to family matters seen through his sister’s experience. With a running camera adult siblings dissect their relations with parents and with each other. The protagonist of the film, affluent businesswoman, who still hasn’t come to terms with the death of their mother and father, becomes the director’s conscience. He is trying to get closer to his dead parents in his own way – filming the last moments of patients in a hospital.
Darling, I Love You
Darling, I Love You is a film showing controversial relationships of Polish women with young lover boys from one of the numerous seaside resorts in Egypt. Such foreign trips have recently become increasingly popular among single women. Travel agencies are rushing to promise journeys loaded with unforgettable experiences. The film reveals what we can’t see in television spots or travel catalogues. It offers a shocking view of Hurghada through a different prism: Polish women - fascinated by exotic appearance and hungry for love, outraged Polish guys, and beach lover boys always ready to please a visitor.

The film presents real-life stories illustrating different aspects of fertility treatment. The joy of people who become parents after IVF, and dramas of others after another failed procedure. Assisted by IVF, Anna and Dariusz became parents of Franek. Together with other couples from the association, they fight for promotion of IVF treatment and reimbursement of this procedure. For many years, Karolina and Darek have in vain tried to conceive. Will they become parents finally? Beata, the mother of two daughters, became a surrogate mother. She couldn’t come to terms with the loss of the baby after its birth and decided to fight to get it back. The documentary proves that legislation is sometimes unable to keep up with the pace of social changes, and judges often do not know how to proceed in challenging never-seen-before cases.
I Love a Hooligan
Reality is sometimes stranger than fiction, what is best showcased by the story of Mariola and Krzysiek. It seems that everything tears them apart: age, social status, and what matters most, membership in two rival football fan groups of Śląsk Wrocław and Ruch Chorzów. She is a mature woman, a store manager, a single mother of a daughter. He is a much younger tattoo-clad reoffender without a profession or plans for the future who has served nine years for brawls and assaults. They have met on Nasza Klasa social network and fallen in love. "I Love A Hooligan" is a compelling documentary depicting no common stereotypes whose storyline resembles a premium feature.

We are in Warsaw's Wola district, one of the poorest and shadiest areas of the Polish capital. We meet Bartek and Pawel, two best buddies struggling with a day to day ordeal. Bartek has a dream of becoming a stuntman in the film industry. His vision seems reckless, but he will stop at nothing until he succeedes. His friend Pawel is his soul mate, his father figure and a personal trainer. Pawel starts training Bartek to help him make his lifetime dream come true... "A Dream In The Making" is a story of friendship, determination and a true example of the fact, that everything in life is possible.
