The film shows the true story of Jacek Karpiński, my Grandfather who invented the first desktop computer in the late sixties. He is called as a pioneer in computer science. And it was light years ahead of other computers, including the most popular today IBM-PC.Genius, big talent awarded by UNESCO remained nearly unknown and almost forgotten.Despite the success he was constantly harassed by the various institutions.Remarkable story from my own, private and subjective point of view.As a Granddaughter I will dig in a people's memories, I will search for testimonies, stories and comments. I will choose the special images of this time, I will select the event descriptions. I will try to introduce JK to others, his roles, decisions, dilemmas, mistakes, friends, success, lovers, reactions, inspirations travels & passion.This is not going to be a simple movie about my Grandfather, its going to be more about the memory of the feelings...Introduced also with the theme of the Communism and his confrontation, and passion into the confrontation, against the political context.Through the question: Is the man creating his own history or is the history creating him?In which sense He was free under the Communism, how he can run away from the history of his context, even when making Computer History.
