Paul comes from Africa, but wants to live in Estonia. Kadri is from Estonia, but preferes to live in Africa. Following Paul`s attempts to legalize his stay in Estonia, the film investigates Estonian society and its dominating fear from becoming extinct. Although being a white woman, Kadri seems to be more accepted in Kenya than Paul is in Estonia.
A Family Pattern
No matter how great your love is, never forget the chance that you might end up raising a child alone. In Estonia more than half of all marriages end in divorce and every six children are born without a formal father. Girls, who have been brought up without a father, learn from their mothers that a woman can't count on men. The film follows 25 years old Airika over the course of a year, in her decision to become a single mother and not get married.
