Institute of Documentary Film’s Activities
Founded in 2001, the INSTITUTE OF DOCUMENTARY FILM (IDF) is a non-profit training and networking centre based in Prague, Czech Republic, focused on the support of East European documentary films and their wider promotion. Our activities support filmmakers through all stages of completion – development, funding, production, post-production, and distribution. We aim at individual filmmakers (tailored consultations), groups of carefully selected professionals with projects or films (Ex Oriente Film, East European Forum, East Silver, Doc Launch, etc.), broader professional community (East Doc Platform), as well as the general public (portal www.DOKweb.net). We closely work with key int. festivals, broadcasters, distributors, sales agents, markets, or training initiatives and serve as the GATEWAY TO EAST EUROPEAN DOCUMENTARY FILM.

III. Images of Life and Time
"III Images of Time and Life" shows three extreme lives. Each of these three people has its own relation to time and therefore also to their lives. The first tries to speed up maximally the passage of tome in order to live life the least time possible. The second, author herself, is trying to prolong maximally her time or postpone the moment of facing it.The third character tries to live in the maximum possible synchronization with time. He simply quits his personal life in order to discover a higher sense of life through the materiality of time. The author wanted to create a dialogue, between these three very extreme characters and make the viewers think more deeply about their own life and time.

Minna Hint was born in Tallinn, Estonia, into a family of poets and writers. She got graduated in Fine Arts in 2003. Her rebellious and critical spirit is very noticeble if you pay attention to the big amount of shows and performances that she produced in university years (Estonia, Lithuania, Latvia, Germany, Finland, etc.). In Hull, a weird town settled in the foggy coast of England, she decided to work as a cleaner for a year. After this experience she finished a masters in Interdisciplinary Arts in Estonian Art Academy. Thanks to those experiences and the inevitable reflections besides reading Baudrillard, among other contemporary philosophers, was shot "III Images of Life and Time". This documentary is a touchy reflexive protest, it is a mature piece that brougth her a Cum Laude in her MA work and was shown in Linnagalerii, one of the main art galleries in Tallinn.
