Till Death Do Us Part
The story of two journalists - German radio reporter Gisbert Mrozek and Russian reporter Natasha Alyekinova - has all the attributes of a Greek tragedy. They met while working; a professional relationship changed into a personal one during the "anti-Gorbachev coup" where their lives were in danger for the first time. Their private happy ending was their wedding in Las Vegas - with the obligatory line "...till death do us part..." which happened soon after. On June 17, 1995, Natasha was fatally shot in the back by a Russian soldier near Budionovsko. Mrozek did not fear the Russian bureaucratic machinery. His efforts resulted in an investigation into Natasha's death, her case being brought to court and the first verdict in the history of Russian journalism.

Habermann's Mill
Hubert Habermann was a miller from a village in northern Moravia; he lived in inter-war Czechoslovakia and was a German. He got along with his Czech neighbours quite well; some of them were his friends, and he spoke a perfect Czech - he was speaking Czech even within his own family. During the war he occasionally helped the Czech inhabitants. When the war ended he disappeared and his wife and children were displaced from the country. The miller's murder remained unexplained and the murders were never punished. Up to the present day, the miller's name has been mystified and blurred, and it still raises fear.

When the disease attacked his composing abilities he decides to undergo a special treatment called deep brain stimulation. His physicians tell his story in the film which won the main award at the national contest of science popularization films Academiafilm.

Václav Havel, Prague - Castle
When Václav Havel was elected president on 29 December 1989, he and his advisors' immediate goal was to lead the country to its first free elections as quickly as possible. Petr Jančárek's documentary devotes itself to the first six months of Havel's presidency. We also discover the personality of Václav Havel, as seen through the eyes of those around him. The film chronicles his first trips to European countries, the USA and the Soviet Union. It also depicts his historically significant speech to the United States Congress as well as the first visits of Pope John Paul II and the Dalai Lama to the former Czechoslovakia. Jančárek's film presents the complex personality of the former president, who suddenly went from being a dissident to become the head of a free democratic state.
Szent István
SMS Szent István was deployed from the military port of Pula on June 6, 1918, along with other battleships, to take part in a mission in the Otranto Straits. In addition to a large group of war reporters, the battleship also carried a cameraman. He intended to document the planned operation but, to his surprise, he ended up shooting the battleship's destruction. The sinking of the Austro–Hungarian battleship Szent István by Italian torpedoes is one of the most important maritime events in WWI. Using unique and authentic archive footage, this documentary examines historical events surrounding the demise of the battleship. It also uses footage made by a team of Czech divers who managed to get into the shipwreck.

The Castle opened up to people, arts and culture, much in the same way the Czech Republic gradually opened up to the world, as manifested in the visits by the Rolling Stones and George Bush Sr. Featuring Bush Sr., Theodor Pištěk, Michael Kocáb and many others, this film was also one of the last on-screen appearances by Václav Havel.
