Marek Kamiński – polar explorer, producer
First man to reach both the North and South Pole in a single year 1995, with no external support. A member of The Explorers Club of New York and the President of The Explorers Club in Poland. In 1994, he was the finalist of World Young Business Achiever and the Życie Warszawy Daily Man of the Year 1995.
Studied Philosophy and Physics at Warsaw University. Founder of the Marek Kamiński Foundation in 1996, with the aim to organise expeditions.
The Marek Kaminski Foundation was established in 1996; it organised polar expeditions, which formed the basis for the following documentaries: Two Poles in One Year. The Arctic by Jerzy Surdel, The Third Pole. A Journey Interrupted by Jerzy Surdel, Two Poles in One Year. Antarctica by Jerzy Surdel, Why? A Journey to Mt. Vinson by Wojciech Ostrowski, One Summer in Patriot Hills by Jerzy Surdel.
The Marek Kaminski Foundation produced and co-produced the following documentaries: Greenland behind Marek Kamiński’s Back by Wojciech Ostrowski, Whiteout. A Journey Beyond the Shadow by Wojciech Szumowski, Round the Baltic in a Pontoon by Wojciech Ostrowski, Together to the Pole by Wojciech Ostrowski.
