Adrenaline and Turbulence
"Aerobatic paragliding is kind of a dance for me in the third dimension" - states Gábor Kézi in the new feature fifty-minute documentary, Adrenaline and Turbulence. Through a blend of aerial dynamics and multidimensional interaction, Adrenaline and Turbulence explores the subculture subtleties of the evolving extreme sport of paragliding aerobatics (commonly known as acro) by following the development of two of world's best acro pilots, Pál Takáts and Gábor Kézi. The two protagonists fell in love with the sport of paragliding in 2002 in their homeland of Hungary, and with a passion for adrenaline, began to delve into the world of acro paragliding. It was not too long before they outgrew their 50-60m homeland hills and left on a journey around the world in search of a bigger opportunities until they premier appearance on the professional scene in 2005.
Strong - A Recovery Story
Zsolt Eross is the most successful Hungarian mountaineer. So far he has climbed 8 of the highest peeks in the world, Mount Everest among others. On 2nd of January 2010 he suffered an avalanche accident in the High Tatras breaking both his legs. Because of the unexpected complications of the open, splintered fracture and for the possibility of the early rehabilitation – as his own decision – his right leg was amputated from knee downwards. The movie illustrates a moving, human story of an injured person rising back to his feet, far overwhelming his character. He tells a universal story which can happen to anyone. Zsolt Eross - whose family name means strong in Hungarian - shows his strengths in this situation. He wants to return to the moutains as soon as possible. Few months after the accident he returns to the Himalayas to attempt Cho Oyu, the 6th highest peak in the world, but he had to realize that the accident weakened him more than he had thought.

The 90-minute documentary with the working title ‛Rise of the Snow Leopard’ follows through the recovery of Zsolt Erőss and the upcoming Himalaya expedition. The storyline starts with the moments after the surgery, then continues with meeting and getting accustomed to the protetic leg, and and practising the movements. Provided the rehabilitation process goes well, Zsolt can take his first steps in the mountains in spring of 2010. “If I manage to climb one of the highest peeks in the world this year that would mean I got over my accident and can return to my previous lifestyle.”, Zsolt said to our crew. The mountaineer and his companions plan to try and climb the 8201-meter high Cho Oyu in fall 2010. The movie illustrates a moving, human story of an injured person rising back to his feet, far overwhelming his character. He tells a universal story which can happen to anyone. Zsolt Erőss is a special person. Therefore he is likely to live this situation specially, as well. During the 90 minutes the watcher gets to know the mountaineer, gets an image of not only the accident and the subsequent period, but also of Zsolt’s past, previous successes, the people around him and those who have died beside him over the past couple of years. Apart from this the movie also has to make it comprehensible what makes mountaineering such a magical sport.The most important message of the movie is to depict the mental energy with the help of which Zsolt can cope with the most robostious circumstances in the world, and with his current state of life.

Born in Budapest, raised in Sofia and Budapest. Studies in photography and cultural anthropology driven him working as DP on documentary sets. Beside this projects he started working for various televisions in Hungary as news reporter, news editor and presenter.
Leisure time was always nature related - climbing, caving, sailing, paragliding and snowboard. Involved in this kind of activities inspired his MA thesis in anthropology –survey of the paragliding subculture. Latest film project Adrenaline and Turbulence is a new episode of the thesis anthropology. Through a blend of aerial dynamics and multidimensional interaction, the documentary explores the subculture subtleties of the evolving extreme sport of paragliding aerobatics.
