Institute of Documentary Film’s Activities
Founded in 2001, the INSTITUTE OF DOCUMENTARY FILM (IDF) is a non-profit training and networking centre based in Prague, Czech Republic, focused on the support of East European documentary films and their wider promotion. Our activities support filmmakers through all stages of completion – development, funding, production, post-production, and distribution. We aim at individual filmmakers (tailored consultations), groups of carefully selected professionals with projects or films (Ex Oriente Film, East European Forum, East Silver, Doc Launch, etc.), broader professional community (East Doc Platform), as well as the general public (portal www.DOKweb.net). We closely work with key int. festivals, broadcasters, distributors, sales agents, markets, or training initiatives and serve as the GATEWAY TO EAST EUROPEAN DOCUMENTARY FILM.

Buy An Elephant
Once a month a Hostess invites 5-6 elderly ladies over for a memorable presentation of the cleansing agents. Usually one would clean the house before the Guests come, but this Hostess prepares quite a few "dirty spots" for the guests, only to show them the efficiency of the agents during the presentation.

Miina - A Day Of My Life
The film follows a day of a 15 years old girl Miina.

A Day in My Life - Anne
The more you do, the more you achieve. Although, there’s never any time. Anne is a music teacher and extracurricular leader in the Kose High School. Anne doesn’t like to get up early, but it seems like this is the only thing about her job that she doesn’t like. She is a true teacher. The film shows Anne’s typical day. Morning, hairdresser, school, class and break, class and break. Anne doesn’t allow the camera into her bedroom, which fits her personality very well.

Has several years of experience in filmmaking, both as director and camera operator. She is best known in Estonia for her four-part series of half-hour documentary films in which each episode depicts a day in the life of an ordinary person in Estonia. Here she has demonstrated her ability to capture the essence of a person with her camera and bring it to the screen. She is skilled in making people feel at ease in front of the camera and this skill is especially valuable in the present film when filming children of various backgrounds.
