With my brother in Alaska is a project of Czech Television; it wants to present the environment of the northernmost state of the US. In the second part of the trilogy the boys have to part with their father - a scientist - for some time, because of his work duties. In order to replace their father the boys' grandfather takes them into town, shows them a farm for breeding and training sledgedogs, and finally they go into the mountains to fix up a hunting log-cabin. They travel a thousand kilometres by jeep, sail over the Lake Taylor in a motorboat and wander through the virgin country until they reach the log-cabin. The boys love the trip, they like the backwoodsman's lifestyle, animals and the wild. They are all having fun up to the moment the grandfather breaks his leg when stepping on a hidden hunting trap and blood-poisoning puts his life in danger. The boys have to transport the injured man back to civilization.
In Alaska with My Brother - Inside Passage
The final, fourth part of the series "With My Brother in Alaska". The last journey of two Czech boys and their father, a biologist, to see their grandfather in Alaska. They meet Ivan, a professional photographer, who gives them valuable advice. The boys and their grandfather look for Alaskan garnets in the rocks. Then they all four set out for a deserted island to photograph petroglyphs - pictures carved in stone by unknown people at an unknown date. However, Láďa failed to properly secure the boat with all their supplies...
