Documentary collage showing the transformation of Moravian town Ostrava, the country's steelmaking heart, into a town of colours, contrasts, industrial nostalgia, and ultra-modern architecutre. The feature-length film was filmed using still cameras with the participation of over 20 photographers. It was broadcast on Czech Television as part of the programme "An Evening on the Subject... Ostrava Over the Years".

This unique film essay by director Vladimír Mráz highlights without words the unrepeatable platitude, eminent banality and inner emotions inherent in the ever elusive yet uplifting nature of time. This observational documentary was shot over the course of seven years. The images were captured using photographic cameras and manipulated in order to create fluid motion with each shot. The film documents the extensive transformations of Ostrava, along with the daily and intimate life of its residents, giving rise to unexpected connections and contrasts.
