Who Will Guard the Guard? Dalibor or The Key to Uncle Tom's Cottage
The fourth and final part of the documentary tetralogy Little Capitalist that mirrors the ups and downs of post-revolution Czech society. Stage director J.A. Pitínský leads rehearsals of Bedřich Smetana's opera Dalibor at the National Theatre. A parallel staging of Dalibor is simultaneously carried out by director Karel Vachek who brings various guests - artists, scientists, intellectuals or political activists - into the theatre. Against the backdrop of Smetana's music that, according to Vachek, has mystical qualities, and inside a building that embodies a number of national desires and myths, we hear stories of individuals who have in various contexts stood up against official power and law.

Situation of the Street, or the Czech Sea in Eighteen Tidal Waves
A story of Prague's National Street captured in the here and now. National Street exceedes the presence of a street which, however, is not present - its essential film presence is, then, a negation of presence, a disappeared presence. It is the absolute presence of people and things transferred to a future language, current language without meditation.

Unisono
A five-minute film made by Saša Gedeon is part of an unusual project called Visions of Europe. Its objective is to create a colourful mosaic of views within the expanding EU. The director approached ambassadors working in the Czech Republic and asked each of them to sing the Czech national anthem. An amusing mini-reportage reflects the stages of preparation, rehearsals and the final performances. Untrained voices gradually mingle together, uniting in a single disharmonic unison. The lightness and wit are completely in compliance with the basic idea of the project. The film points out the different cultural traditions that must be preserved, rather than mixed into a single bland whole.

Rules of the Game - Delimitation of Space
The project entitled Rules of the Game developed into a series of institutional portraits. The first part Defining the Space takes place during the NATO Summit in Prague in 2002. It deals with the specificity of such a meeting, where every detail is planned and prepared well in advance, including the results. The event itself becomes a performance for the media that are supposed to(re)create the human dimension of the event and the organization. The film is composed of detailed descriptions and shot with a certain distance that offers a different perspective of the events.

Ivetka and the Mountain
One day in the summer of 1990, two ten-year-old girls were playing in a clearing on Mount Zvir near the East Slovak village of Litmanová. Suddenly they heard strange and frightening noises. Overcome by fear and anxiety, the children started praying. The noise stopped and the girls saw the Virgin Mary who then guided them back to the village. Since then, pilgrims have been visiting the place where the girls repeatedly saw the apparition. This documentary film follows the story of one of the girls and explores both the positive and negative issues related to her experience. It deals with humility, faith in the power and mercy of God, and the earthly life of those who believe in His glory. http://www.ivetka.net

Love From Above
This portrait of two young people, Prokop and Magdalena, is the playful tale of their pilgrimage to a solar eclipse in which they go through unexpected adventures. The film si also a poetic contemplation of the communication between people.
