This documentary film follows the lives of twelve DAMU graduates.
Where Time Stands Still
The last part of a trilogy about 1968 composes archive materials of film company Krátký film and the state television to draw an overall image of the decline in 1970s. By choice, the filmmakers decided not to use read commentary, instead they focused on composition so that the contemporary atmosphere with a whole scale of various twisted social settings brought by the era of Normalization is depicted as credibly as possible. In this way, they want to bring up the issue of the film image and its compliancy to different interpretations of history.
1968: Betrayal
Betrayal - the second part of the series devoted to the Prague Spring - charts the fundamental events which took place from 1968 to 1969. After the leaders of the Czechoslovak Communist Party returned from Moscow, the future of the country was said to depend on its ties with the Soviet Union. After hope was steamrolled by the Soviet tanks, the betrayed country once again began living in an atmosphere of fear, lies and hypocrisy. The nation was roused from its profound lethargy only by the death of Jan Palach who protested the occupation by self-immolation. After his burial and after the bloody suppression of the demonstrations on the first anniversary of the occupation, the daunting era of normalization began.
1968: Hope
The first part of a documentary series returns to the Prague Spring of 1968 - to the period of so-called socialism with a human face in which there was a glimmer of hope that society as a whole would fully recover. The film, pieced together solely from period footage without commentary, chronologically recalls the key moments of an era when the process of democratization and revival was also accompanied by an extraordinary cultural boom. After only a few months, however, the post-January policies and planned economic reforms were stifled by the August invasion by the Warsaw Pact armies, which arrived to "rescue freedom from the planned counter-revolution".

Czech doctors have repeatedly threatened with an exodus. In most cases the problem was money. The category of love for this highly demanding profession seemed out of question. So did the drama, creativity, beauty of the profession; as well as ethics, morality and a sense of a certain vocation in life. Rediscovering these values in the tumultuous days of today would do us good. The documentary will portray two top physicians who are not going anywhere; Jan Pirk and Vladimír Beneš; although they could as their reputation goes beyond the borders of the Czech Republic. The heart and the brain; these two make man, and are more than the whole universe, as the two doctors believe. They approach their field with similar enthusiasm and high professionalism. A classical documentary without commentary or direct accounts; just images, situations, action, atmosphere and highly intimate off-screen accounts; internal monologues.
