MAN FOR HIRE
More and more women use the men for hire services. It seems that also this aspect of life experiences sexual equity. Kind, well educated and endowed with sense of humour man for hire is within reach, it is enough to make one single call and agree on a price. Students, wives, fiancées and single ladies use their services whenever they need a guy as a company for the family party or simply to go out for a coffee, to the theatre or the cinema. Self aware, financially independent women, can finally decide whom and where to meet. Men for hire are elegant, well educated, well-mannered, that makes them a perfect companion. Emancipated women also in this particular issue attained sexual equity – previously only men had such a privilege. This situation shows that the reverse situation is possible and acceptable. And moreover is needed. Such an arrangement is a simple transaction and brings advantages to both sides: a woman derives satisfaction from enjoyable time spent, a man gets the money. Isn’t that how it should be?
Wrestling in Dakar
“Wrestling in Dakar” is a Senegalese 'Rocky' with a soul and great aesthetics directly taken from “Gladiator” by Ridley Scott. “Wrestling in Dakar” is a story, which focuses on famous, first woman in wrestling business, promoter and politician Ndeye Ndiaye Tyson and five young Senegalese, Mbaye Mbaw, Lamine Sall, Abib Seck, Pape Ibou i Abdoulaye Thiam. Despite her illiteracy, Ndeye Ndiaye Tyson became famous in Senegal and guiding light for many countrymen. At present, divorced, she is bringing her son up alone, employing assistant and driving her big Honda with her personal driver ignite admiration, recognition and respect. Our second character, which we call “the group of five” created five years ago the wrestling school to do something with their lives. Today, despite they are friends, they compete each other, because everyone hopes, to be hunted one day by famous promoter, win the fight for a better life and become next wrestling celebrity. And because Ndeye Ndiaye Tyson will choose, at the end of the wrestling season only one of our young wrestlers and will organize him fight with one wrestling celebrity will be the plot of our story. The fight will take place on football stadium, with audience of 45 thousand people, will be broadcast by main tv stations, which will change the life of chosen boy. Mixing love and hate, and hopes, disillusions and convictions, this documentary is an invitation to a colorful, artful journey, and to a reflection on human condition in the society forced to constant fight. All in all, while Africa often evokes images of misery, this documentary project will show that there is hope for its population. The film show the alternative way to immigrating illegally and there is now a way to succeed in Senegal itself.
Here I am
The film presents real-life stories illustrating different aspects of fertility treatment. The joy of people who become parents after IVF, and dramas of others after another failed procedure. Assisted by IVF, Anna and Dariusz became parents of Franek. Together with other couples from the association, they fight for promotion of IVF treatment and reimbursement of this procedure. For many years, Karolina and Darek have in vain tried to conceive. Will they become parents finally? Beata, the mother of two daughters, became a surrogate mother. She couldn’t come to terms with the loss of the baby after its birth and decided to fight to get it back. The documentary proves that legislation is sometimes unable to keep up with the pace of social changes, and judges often do not know how to proceed in challenging never-seen-before cases.
