www.DOKweb.net is a portal dedicated to East European documentary film. The news section provides up-to-date information on upcoming and just completed films, interviews with filmmakers and other documentary professionals, in-depth articles exploring the state of documentary filmmaking in various parts of the region, as well as insightful texts on current trends, funding, etc. The portal also boasts the largest published databases of completed and upcoming documentary films from Eastern Europe, an industry directory, as well as trailers and original video content. www.DOKweb.net is IDF´s key online project that provides comprehensive details on all IDF´s activities and links them with general information service.
Institute of Documentary Film’s Activities
Founded in 2001, the INSTITUTE OF DOCUMENTARY FILM (IDF) is a non-profit training and networking centre based in Prague, Czech Republic, focused on the support of East European documentary films and their wider promotion. Our activities support filmmakers through all stages of completion – development, funding, production, post-production, and distribution. We aim at individual filmmakers (tailored consultations), groups of carefully selected professionals with projects or films (Ex Oriente Film, East European Forum, East Silver, Doc Launch, etc.), broader professional community (East Doc Platform), as well as the general public (portal www.DOKweb.net). We closely work with key int. festivals, broadcasters, distributors, sales agents, markets, or training initiatives and serve as the GATEWAY TO EAST EUROPEAN DOCUMENTARY FILM.

Rawie Marijke

Marijke Rawie (ExpertDocs) is an independent documentary consultant. ExpertDocs specializes in international Documentary Training & Consultancy, and works for various documentary festivals and pitching forums like HotDocs, IDFA, EBU, EDN, Ex Oriente Film, Dragon Forum, CoPro, Sunny Side of the Doc. Marijke Rawie is involved in initiatives like the current European Discussion on the Freedom of Expression and Information in Documentaries and she is one of the founders of FACE, the Association for Fair Audiovisual Copyright in Europe. She is currently a Consultant for the Ex Oriente Film pitching training and a tutor at Documentary Campus Masterschool. From 1990 to 2006 she was Head of Art & Documentary at AVRO TV, the first public broadcaster in the Netherlands. In 1991 she founded the documentary slot AVRO Close Up which became one of the leading international co-producers and co-financiers of documentaries in Europe. She studied Political Sciences at the University of Amsterdam. After her studies she worked as an economic journalist for various national newspapers in the Netherlands before she went to become a commissioning editor at the national TV in the Netherlands.
Marijke Rawie, Managing Director of ExpertDocs, was during the last 17 years Head of Art Documentary at AVRO, 1st public broadcaster in the Netherlands. In 1991 she founded the documentary slot "AVRO Close Up" which became one of the leading international co-producers and co-financers of documentaries in Europe. She started her tv-career in1974. She worked as director and producer of documentaries at various Dutch broadcasters (NOS, VARA, NCRV), before she went to AVRO. Marijke Rawie is involved in several international documentary institutions: Vice President of EBU Documentary Expert Group; Vice President of Advisery Board Discovery Campus Masterschool; Boardmember of the 1st World Congress of Arts Producers; Doc.expert EDN; Doc. expert Eurodoc. She is the founder of ExpertDocs, International Documentary Training & Consultancy, in which she combines the international documentary coproduction and (pitching) training knowledge she has acquired over the years.
