Stankovic Goran
Goran Stanković was born in 1984. He lives in Belgrade, where he recently finished the Acad- emy of Arts as a film and television director. During his studies, his student films were selected for international festivals, and attracted a lot of press and public attention. His short film “Who Guards the Guardians” was an international festival hit, winning 10 awards and screening at over 30 prestigious festivals. The film was chosen to represent Serbia in the “European Short Films Tour” of USA and Latin America, and the broadcasting rights were bought by Eurochannel.Together with his producer Goran founded This&That, a production company that aims to de- velop creative projects. He was selected for the prestigious Berlinale Talent Campus in 2009 from 3,800 young artists, this gave him an opportunity to attend masterclasses from Oscar awarded directors and filmmakers and make international contacts.Goran is currently in production with his first feature documentary “In the Dark”, portraying Serbian miners. The project was selected for the Greenhouse Development Program where he was mentored by filmmakers from the Sundance Film Institute. “In the Dark” has been supported by the prestigious Jan Vrijman Fund and also the winner of the Best Pitch Award at the FIPA festival 2011 in Biarritz, France.
