www.DOKweb.net is a portal dedicated to East European documentary film. The news section provides up-to-date information on upcoming and just completed films, interviews with filmmakers and other documentary professionals, in-depth articles exploring the state of documentary filmmaking in various parts of the region, as well as insightful texts on current trends, funding, etc. The portal also boasts the largest published databases of completed and upcoming documentary films from Eastern Europe, an industry directory, as well as trailers and original video content. www.DOKweb.net is IDF´s key online project that provides comprehensive details on all IDF´s activities and links them with general information service.
Institute of Documentary Film’s Activities
Founded in 2001, the INSTITUTE OF DOCUMENTARY FILM (IDF) is a non-profit training and networking centre based in Prague, Czech Republic, focused on the support of East European documentary films and their wider promotion. Our activities support filmmakers through all stages of completion – development, funding, production, post-production, and distribution. We aim at individual filmmakers (tailored consultations), groups of carefully selected professionals with projects or films (Ex Oriente Film, East European Forum, East Silver, Doc Launch, etc.), broader professional community (East Doc Platform), as well as the general public (portal www.DOKweb.net). We closely work with key int. festivals, broadcasters, distributors, sales agents, markets, or training initiatives and serve as the GATEWAY TO EAST EUROPEAN DOCUMENTARY FILM.

A multimedia documentary project consisting of a series of fresh, colourful insider point-of-view short stories on the present-day life of young people, linked by animated episodes and directed by 15 young and talented filmmakers from the 15 republics formerly annexed by the USSR.

Idiot
Story about return. From return of the documents to return to the life. Needless, idiotic - these are the unflattering words that Andrei says about himself. However thirty years of his life could become the script for a fiction film. Run away from an asylum, where he was locked with lifelong diagnosis "incapacity", he found himself in the capital - the same asylum of a bigger scale. Without documents and homeless, Andrei is seeking the right for free life. His route is between officials' offices and endless psychiatric examinations. His goal is to return capability.

Arrhythmia
After finishing his studies on the Medical College, Bezz has to work in the stateclinic for three years. During the day he is a general practitioner and during thenight he is the boss of the entertainment company BEZ Promo, organizing parties in Moscow's clubs. Despite the fact that he is not successful with any of his projects,Bezz convinces himself and the others that all his efforts in fact lead to something important.

Born in 1982 in Moscow. 2002 – Honours degree of Moscow University School of Economics. 2004 – admitted to VGIK-FDPO studio of non-fiction films of T.Semenov (recruitment of the “Channel First”), but left within a few months because of the difficulties with the lecturers. 2010 – student of school of documentaries of Marina Razbezhkina. After “Textura-2010” festival, got a special prize of NYFA – study grant of New York Film Academy. Foreign languages: English, French, Greek. Worked as director’s assistant in feature films, documentaries, several experiences of work with European documentary film makers shooting films in Russia, worked as camera operator for French channel TPS Star.
