Tuček Daniel
For his new love Zdenka left the American cartoon director Gene Deitch in 1958 his family in New York and relocated to Prague. What followed surpasses the most fantastic imagination of Hollywood filmmakers. Besides films as Tom and Jerry or Popeye, he made dozens of short cartoons with Czech animators. (Munro won the Oscar in 1961). As a jazz enthusiast, he has recorded the home blues session of John Lee Hooker a time before the first official recording. His life-love story is an intelligent and chilling account of 40 years under communism, lived by an American "guest".

Governing, Don't Disturb!
The world of politics has a number of typical features: expansiveness, an effort to dictate the rules of the political game, to increase the powers of all players, to politicize significant social issues, to fill all important posts according to party affiliation, and to maintain power without any glitches, ensuring one's own political influence also for the future. These became most evident during the period of so-called "opposition contract", i.e., between the years 1998 - 2002. The film explores the negative attributes through a number of basic issues: How can power be usurped in a democracy? At the end of the 1990s, the two largest parties and their leaders came to understand that they could join forces and gradually simplify the political system to suit their needs. What steps did they take?

The Very First Cowboy
There are cowboys in the Czech Republic. They wear wide hats, jeans, western outfits and ride in the rodeo. But only a few of them have ever visited America. They have learned all they are good at from films and TV or from those, who have lived in USA for some time. We have chosen a group of cowboys and we took them to one of the working ranches in Arizona in the summer of 2009. What will a group of friends and at the same time competitors do while on a long journey in their votive land? Who will still be wearing a wide hat after their return from America?
Currently struck by gestational diabetes, the director is forced to stop consuming refined sugar instantly. Suffering from withdrawal symptoms, she realizes how terribly difficult it is to get rid of the addictive substance and how hard it is to find sugar-free products on the food market. Sugar is everywhere - in most products ranging from rolls, bread and pre-packaged food to beer, canned vegetables, smoked meats and chips; it is in cigarettes, advertising, politics (Czech Presidency of the EU). The director makes an investigative research of the impact of the consummation of sugar on the individual and the society. She discovers how great a power the powder has had in history and still has nowadays. Psychologists and doctors relate about the incredible connection between mental diseases, behavioural disturbances and the excessive consummation of sugar. The director learns about its fundamental impact both on the physical and mental functions. She asks the following questions: If we are a great bunch of sugar junkies, how does the addiction influence the functioning of our society? Is the sweet life a driving force of our civilization? What is the sweet life we dream about like? What are we willing to do to achieve the symbolical sweet life? The film moves on the border between a historical thriller, scientific observation and socially engaged documentary including a whole range of live documentary situations.
