In August 1989, from Weimar in the German Democratic Republic, Kurt-Werner Schulz, Gundula Schafitel and their 6-year-old son, cross Hungary on their way to the Western world. Along with so many of their East German fellow compatriots, they plan to cross the border illegally. However, they have no hope of succeeding if all three of them stay together.

The Land of Wailing
Csuk Roland, a ten year old little boy was born in Budapest. Until he was four years-old he spent more time in hospital than at home because he could not breathe the city air, which made him asthmatic, so on the advice of his doctor his parents took him to live in the countryside.They found their new home among the scattered farms of Tápióbicske 59 kilometres away from Budapest. The distance is, in a way, still great, which is manifested in the circumstances. The child has been healthy ever since, he goes to school, he has animals, he has a proper diet, and he even has a surrogate "grandmother". The film takes a peek into their lives and shows that things are far from being perfect...
Demon Hands
The film is about focal dystonia - a disease that primarily strikes professional musicians. This disease ruins the lives of tens of thousands of musicians, in part because the patients are afraid to talk about it, and because doctors often misdiagnose it. The film originated in a screenplay by classical guitarist Sándor Mester (known as MS3), who suffered from this disease for more than a decade. Depression, alcoholism, suicide - this is the path often followed by musicians with focal dystonia... The film interviews musicians from eight different countries who either suffer from dystonia or have recovered.

The film analyzes the reflections on the presence of the occupying Soviet army or, quoting the old euphemism, the Soviet troops temporarily stationed in Hungary: a taboo that meanwhile has been broken down in the minds of the people by the newsreels dominated by politics during the process of the abolishment of communism.
