EAST EUROPEAN FORUM STEP BY STEP:
*September 9 – October 1, 2007
The project competition, in which the committee of IDF team and international experts select projects that will take part in the Forum..
*October 24 – 26, 2007
The pitch workshop, led by top European documentary film producers, experts and distributors, will train participants “the art of pitching” - how to publicly present their given projects, and how to put into practice suggested co-production.
*October 27 – 29, 2007
The Pitching forum – a public presentation in which the director and producer have an opportunity to present/pitch their film projects to leading East and West European television producers in order to enroll their aid in co-financing or co-production. The pitching forum is followed by individual meetings, which enable the producers and directors to introduce the project to the commissioning editors in more detail.

WHO CAN PARTICIPATE:
Directors and producers with their own projects (at the workshop, at least one of the team must be able to communicate in English). The participation of both (director and producer) at the preparatory workshop and Pitching forum is one of the necessary conditions.
WHAT PROJECTS ARE SUITABLE FOR CO-PRODUCTION?
• Projects for which the author has already completed the preliminary research and has a clear idea of the main line of the film
• Subjects with strong topics appealing not only to a small audience but potentially to diverse viewers from various cultural backgrounds
• The subject doesn't have to be European in terms of scope. It can be a local story, yet it should relate to a universal human experience, generalize its message and show its content in a social or time-spatial context.
• The genre of the film can be very diverse ranging from full-length documentaries to portraits or historical films.
