East European Forum
Seminar: Efficient TV Management - Inspiration and Examples
Wednesday, October 27, 2010
14:00 - 20:00
Jihlava / Czech Republic
Venue TBC
A half-day session for professional audience, focused on TV management and programming tailored for new and internationally inexperienced commissioning editors from the region and producers who would like to know more about the inner workings of TV networks.
Led by: Paul Pauwels, Managing Director of the European Television and Media Management Academy (ETMA), France.
Special Guest: Björn Erichsen, a former Managing Director of Danish Broadcasting Corporation (DR TV, 1996-2001), and EBU TV Director (2002-2010).
The traditional organization of broadcasters does not function anymore. The world has changed and this has to be reflected in different and more up-to-date management structures. How important will IP-TV become now that connected TV is on the doorstep, will Google TV and YouTube become the audience’s fancy? Do younger generations want the big screen of will they happily consume content from their mobile devices?
Paul Pauwels and Björn Erichsen will discuss the current situation and expected developments. During this highly interactive session, your input and opinions will be of the essence. No ex-cathedra lecturing but high-level professional exchanges. The aim of the session is – to paraphrase Woody Allen – to get answers to everything you wanted to know about tomorrow’s television but were too afraid to ask.
Participants: Croatian TV, Slovenian TV, TV NOVA, Czech Republic, JOJ Slovakia, Latvian TV, Lithuanian TV and other observers at the Forum.
