Folllowing the new market model we set up last year, we are now opening submission call for the upcoming East Silver Videolibrary, held within East Doc Platform, organized by the Institute of Documentary Film (IDF) in Prague, Czech Republic, in March, 5 – 10, 2013, in association with the One World International Human Rights Documentary Film Festival. All the films selected for East Silver Videolibrary will be automatically included also in the 10th East Silver Market edition, annually held on the backdrop of the 17th Jihlava International Documentary Film Festival in October 23 – 28, 2013, Jihlava, Czech Republic.

The second edition of the umprella event East Doc Platform hosts our staple events, such as the East European Forum, Doc Launch presentation, Project Market, and the East Silver video library with fresh spring documentary offerings. Organized by Institute of Documentary Film in association with the One World International Human Rights Documentary Film Festival.

East Doc Platform opens most of the programme to public.

East European Forum is the region's largest meeting of Central and East European documentary filmmakers with Europe's and North America´s leading commissioning editors, distributors, buyers and film fund representatives.

East European Forum is part of the umbrella event East Doc Platform and consists of Forum Workshop, Open programme and Public presentations.

East Silver is the first documentary market which provides an exclusive, your-round for producers and distributors from Central and East Europe. Each year, about 270 films from more than 29 countries are included in the market.

East Silver Videolibrary is the spring part of the market, open to all the industry guests of the East Doc Platform. In addition to the digital video library, East Silver offters producers a possibility to introduce their films during the closed industry screenings.

Doc Launch Presentation enables 7-9 selected directors and producers present their projects in rough-cut stage, taking the opportunity of the public display that helps their films make a successful transition into distribution. The projects mainly seek further festival release, sales and international distribution.

Doc Launch Presentation is organized by IDF within the new East Doc Platform.

Project Market offers filmmakers with in-development projects a smartly structured system of one-on-one meetings with key film professionals, based on in-advance scheduling and a scheduling service available also on the spot during the event.

Project Market is organized by IDF within the new East Doc Platform and is open to selected participants, accredited professionals and authors of in-development projects.
