The best East Silver Market 2011 documentaries will be announced and awarded during the closing ceremony of the 15th IDFF in Jihlava on October 29, 2011. The International jury will pick the winner trinity representing the best of three categories (short, mid, feature) and honor them with Silver Eye Award and 1500 Euro cash prize. Project Market is available to all the film professionals, authors and producers of documentary films who would like to set up one-on-one meetings at one table. Since September 22 the coordinator Anna Purkrábková (anna@dokweb.net) gathers your requests and intensively compiles the meeting schedule!
On October 27, Bjoern Erichsen and Paul Pauwels will hold the TV Management Seminar that aims to touch upon crucial issues of the coming changes within TV broadcasting structures. Together with the audience they will pose questions about the transformation the medium awaits in the future.
Institute of Documentary Film helps projects in all stages of development. Thus, such a partnership naturally climaxes with the introduction of the finished documentary films in the traditional distribution platform East Silver Market which takes place in Jihlava. Feel free to have a look at the 18 documentaries that went through various IDF events and feature at East Silver Market 2011.
A unique story about the making of Bakhmaro - a documentary portrait of a hotel filmed by Salome Jashi – will be presented by the author herself within Case study on Thursday, October 27, 2011 in Jihlava. In this case, the year-round Ex Oriente Film workshop proved as one of the ways IDF assistance managed to take a documentary project successfully through to the end.
