Black Eyes

Black Eyes is the account of a journey following the traces people have left behind in their lives. It is a film about the passage of time, about the loss and reemergence of memories starting from the 78 rpm record I inherited from my father: the tango "Tschernye Glaza", Black Eyes.

Booths

Hidden world of booths on the streets of a big city and portraits of the people who work inside those booths day after day. "When I was a child I used to walk around town, and I often noticed people sitting in booths. And I asked myself: Why are they sitting there? Maybe they are serving out some sort of punishment. What are they doing inside their booths? What are they thinking about? They're probably hot in there. Or maybe they're cold. Do they have home? A family? What kind of people are they?" - the film in ironical manner tries to answer these questions. It's a film about big city people living inside their booths...

Their chosen destination is Bolton, where there is already a sizable Hungarian Gypsy population. The documentary follows the Lazi family's struggle to establish themselves in England for nearly two years. Bug Trainer

The Bug Trainer is an international co-production documentary film about Ladislas Starewitch (1882 - 1965), a pioneer of puppet animation and a contemporary of cinematography, one of the most mystique and controversial creators of 20th century. He was named as a true Wizard and an Alchemist of animation, whose wizardry was born in Lithuania in the beginning of 20th century. He got his fame in Russia and flourished in his full power in France. Unique methods of animation, never disclosed to the others, - who was he? Lithuania, Poland, Russia, France - all claim him as "Ours". It seems that he was a cosmopolitan, whose creative works overpass geographical boarders and are ahead of the time. This film is an effort to "decode" Starewitch by using the means of his own artistic thinking, utilizing all the contemporary means of pictorial expression and tiding together the biographical facts, archives and factual information told by experts: cinema historians, critics, animators told through the animated love story of puppets.

An odyssey through Vienna's immigrant netherworld, this real-life Green Card is an hilarious and touching insight into what it takes to jump the barriers of Fortress Europe.

Constantin and Elena

A bittersweet love story. Where "sweet" is the love (after 55 years of marriage), "bitter" is the lack of time left for the "sweet" (the old age), and "story" is the everyday life. A film about the ancestral, pure way of living and loving. A cinematic, observational, sometimes voyeuristic look at a way of life and a life itself, both, almost extinct.
