Silent Scream

The documentary was made by Armenian boys and girls in the age between 12 and 16 years. They are members of the SunChild Eco-club in the remote village Urtsadzor. The FPWC founded SunChild Eco-clubs all over Armenia where children can learn to shoot, direct and edit films dedicated to wildlife and environment. The film "Silent Scream" was shot in the young filmmakers’ home village which is situated near the Khosrov nature reserve where many endangered animal species find a retreat. The film observes the villagers behavior towards these wild and rare animals like bears, storks, eagles and wolves.

Something about Georgia

The film is a political fable that depicts the frail equilibrium of the world and questions the values of international politics. It takes us through a critical and violent year in the life of Georgian state - from the presidential election of January 2008, when everything seemed possible, to the chaos of the August war with Russia and the sobering aftermath - and raises questions about political responsibility and the morality of international affairs. The story is told through its main actors: the Georgian president, the Georgian government, the political opposition, foreign leaders, international delegations and organisations and, most of all, the ordinary Georgian people.

Sounds Under the Sun

Composers are regular people – they drive public transport, do sports, pay their bills. And still – they are very different as they are able to comprehend sound. The documentary film Sounds Under the Sun is an inspiring cinematic journey all over the world to meet some of the world-famous contemporary classical music composers. Visiting Alaskan forests, skyscrapers in Tokyo, and war zone in Georgia, the film gives a glimpse of how the composers share their struggle to create music from the moment of sonic creation till the moment when their music is interpreted for public (the film features composers Sir John Tavener from the UK, Leonid Desyatnikov from Russia, Giya Kancheli from Georgia, Dobrinka Tabakova from Bulgaria, John Luther Adams from the USA, and Ko Matsushita from Japan, and one of the world’s best youth choirs, Kamēr..., from Latvia).

Now with a strong base at home, they are eager to embark on a new crusade to spread their influence over the rest of the world.

Train Stops for Five Minutes

The film tells about a town N and its people. “It has been long since the sound of train carriages rolling on the rails beat the rhythm of their lives. A huge stone on the Railway Station Square reminds of the moments when the train used to stop here for longer in order to swallow thousands of people only to spit them out in the wide open spaces of Siberia. Now it stops only for five minutes. Yet this is enough time for farewell kisses and a promise to return. Town N is populated by those who have built homes and given birth to their children here for a purpose, because nothing happens just by chance. Thus, ordinary everyday life in a provincial town N hides people’s extraordinary dreams, memories, discoveries and losses” .
