Yorinde Segal has a masters degree in Film and Television Science (University of Amsterdam). During her studies, she worked as floor manager for several art house cinemas and assisted setup of the open-air film festival Pluk de Nacht. After that, she worked for the Dutch distributor Cinema Delicatessen and sales agent Fortissimo Films. She has worked as coordinator of the Forum since 2010. Additionally to her work for the IDFA Forum, she is a member of the pre-selection committee of the IDFA Bertha Fund, which aims to generate more attention for the voices of filmmakers in the developing world and the selection committee of the IDFAcademy Summer School, a training program for emerging filmmakers which takes place in the summer in Amsterdam.
