Studied at the Academy of Theatre and Film Arts where she obtained a diploma in Cinematography and a Doctor’s degree in Arts, Cinema and Media. Crulic – The Path to Beyond, the animated documentary directed, written and produced by Anca Damian, had its world premiere in competition at Locarno Film Festival 2011, was selected in over 140 festivals including Annecy, Pusan, London BFI, CPH:DOX, Telluride, New Directors / New Films, Istanbul IFF and won over 35 awards. It had cinema distribution all around Europe, South America, Israel and Canada. The Magic Mountain, a Romania – France – Poland co-production had the World premiere in Annecy 2015, and the international premiere in Karlovy Vary IFF in the main Competition where it received a Special Mention of the Jury.
