Igor Chojna was born in Warsaw in 1978. In 2003 he graduated from University of Toronto, where he studied history and political science. After that he attended photography workshops at Ryerson University Toronto and ZPAF Warsaw. In 2005 he started studying film directing at the Polish National Film School in Lodz, where he directed a number of short fiction and documentary films. His short films The Stain, A Screening at the Tatry Cinema, Unwillingness and Through Glass were shown and awarded at numerous international film festivals (Camerimage, GoEast, Krakow, Locarno, Dresden etc.). In 2011 he graduated from the Polish National Film School in Lodz successfully.
