Sheffield Doc/Fest - Industry Conference

Sheffield Doc/Fest and Documentary Campus teamed up once again to programme a range of talent-talks and panel discussions to reflect the Film and Alternate Realities programmes and key industry topics of the day. Each year ideas for sessions come from the Doc/Fest team, our broadcast supporters (Channel 4, BBC, ITV and Sky) and from the open call for session ideas.

This agenda-setting programme shone a spotlight on all long and short form documentary for all platforms, with insights from over 300 leading directors, producers, commissioners and distributors, exploring the brave new worlds of commissioning, marketing and distribution - from traditional broadcasters to the increasingly important digital platforms offering new funding pots and greater audiences, as well as the disrupting and empowering world of self-publishing.
