Born in 1962 in Žilina, Slovakia, Martin Šulík is a Slovak film director. He studied film directing at the Academy of Performing Arts in Bratislava from which he graduated in 1986. Filmography: Tenderness (Neha 1991), Everything I Like (Všetko čo mám rád 1992), The Garden (Záhrada 1995), Orbis Pictus (1997), Landscape (Krajinka 2000), Working Class Heroes (Slnečný štát 2005), Pictures from a Visit (Prague Stories, Praha očima 1999). Documentary films: Monolog Juraja J. (2001), Nenatočené sny J. J. (2001), The Key for Determining Dwarfs or The Last Travel of Lemuel Gulliver (2002), Martin Slivka - muž, ktorý sadil stromy (2007). Also active as a producer, screenwriter, stage director and actor.
